Through determined efforts on both sides, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas (BCBSTX) reached an agreement with Southwestern Health Resources. We’re pleased to let you know that Southwestern Health Resources facilities including UT Southwestern University Hospital in Dallas, Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Denton, Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital, and other DFW-area facilities will remain in the HealthSelectSM network.
Because the new agreements are retroactive to Oct. 4, 2022, if any claims processed as out-of-network on or after Oct. 4, 2022, they will automatically reprocess at the in-network benefit level.
Southwestern Health Resources facilities should quickly display as in-network in Provider Finder®. If you have any questions about your network PCP or other network provider, please call a BCBSTX Personal Health Assistant toll-free at (800) 252-8039 (TTY:711) Monday – Friday 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. and Saturday 7 a.m. – 3 p.m. CT.
A BCBSTX Personal Health Assistant can help with:
- Adding your Southwestern Health Resources PCP back to your BCBSTX record, if needed,
- Scheduling an appointment with a Southwestern Health Resources provider,
- Confirming prior authorizations or referrals are in place, if required,
- Assisting with out-of-network bills you got for services provided by Southwestern Health Resources providers Oct. 4, 2022 or after, and
- Any other questions you have about your HealthSelect benefits.
