Update regarding Faith Community Hospital
We want you to know that Faith Community Hospital’s participation in the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas (BCBSTX) HealthSelect℠ network will end effective February 28, 2018.
This means that claims for services incurred March 1, 2018 or later from Faith Community Hospital will be treated as out-of-network.
Out-of-network services can be significantly more expensive and we recommend you stay within the HealthSelect network to keep your costs as low as possible. Emergency services will continue to be covered at the in-network benefit level.
Participants in the Jacksboro area will still have access to Graham Regional Medical Center, Palo Pinto General Hospital and Wise Health System.
After February 28, you may continue to use Faith Community Hospital for non-emergency services at the out-of-network benefit level, which may be at a much higher out-of-pocket cost to you. You are responsible for out-of-network costs that exceed the amount the plan pays for out-of-network services and your cost responsibility can be significant.
We understand the importance of having a strong network of doctors and hospitals is important and any change to the HealthSelect network can cause worry.
If you are planning to undergo a procedure or surgery, and would like to know your options for in-network care, you can call a Personal Health Assistant from BCBSTX at (800) 252-8039 or you can speak with your referring physicians for assistance in transferring facilities.
