Make prevention your priority this Men’s Health Month.
HealthSelectSM medical plans cover preventive services that can catch health issues early and keep you feeling your best for years to come.
Men's Health Resources
Men are less likely than women to get annual preventive checkups, according to the Centers for Disease and Prevention (CDC). Increase your odds of living healthier and longer by making healthy choices, like getting regular preventive care. Use the resources and guidelines below to guide you to better health habits and routines.
Make your health a priority
Your HealthSelectSM medical plan covers most preventive care, including wellness exams and screenings like colonoscopies, at no additional cost to you. You can earn Buena Vida Bucks for completing certain preventive screenings.
If you are enrolled in HealthSelect of Texas®, you must have a primary care provider (PCP) on file with BCBSTX to coordinate your care to get the highest level of benefits. Learn more about choosing a PCP.
Talk to your PCP about recommended screenings for men based on your age, health and family history.
