Find a Doctor or Hospital
HealthSelectSM of Texas
As a HealthSelect of Texas participant, you have access to more than 50,000 network doctors, providers and hospitals. You will pay less for your health care if you select a primary care physican (PCP), obtain referrals before seeing specialists, and use providers who are in the HealthSelect network.
Consumer Directed HealthSelectSM
Consumer Directed HealthSelect has the same provider network as a HealthSelect of Texas plan, with more than 50,000 doctors, providers and hospitals across Texas. You will pay less for your health care if you see providers who are in the HealthSelect network.
HealthSelect Out-of-State is available only to active employees, retirees not eligible for Medicare, and their eligible dependents living or working outside the state of Texas. This plan has a different network than the HealthSelect of Texas plan. You will pay less for your health care if you see providers who are in the HealthSelect Out-of-State network.
HealthSelect Secondary is available to retirees and their eligible spouses and dependents eligible for Medicare. The benefits of this plan are coordinated with Medicare benefits.
Limited Provider Networks
If you live in the Houston area and select a primary care physician (PCP) in a Limited Provider Network such as Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, you have open access to all physicians and locations within that network.
Working to add network providers
We understand the importance of having a broad provider network to serve you. There currently are more than 50,000 providers in the HealthSelect network across the State of Texas, with providers being added on a regular basis. If your current provider is not listed in the HealthSelect network, you can nominate her/him using this form.
A note about hospital-based providers
Even if a hospital is in the HealthSelect network, the doctors, anesthesiologists, radiologists, and other providers who practice at that hospital may not be! It's important to find out if all your providers are in the network before scheduling a surgery or procedure.
If you are planning a visit to a hospital or outpatient facility, these lists of facilities and doctors can help you see the network status for hospital-based doctors in Texas.
