Take the call: clinicians are standing by to help

Whether you have an upcoming surgery and have questions, recently had a surgery and need follow-up support, or if you were recently diagnosed or are managing a condition, a Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas (BCBSTX) clinician can support you and your family.

If you are enrolled in a HealthSelect of Texas® medical plan, including Consumer Directed HealthSelectSM, clinicians are available by phone. They will listen to your concerns and offer guidance, taking your health history, lifestyle and behaviors into account.

Clinicians can help people with health concerns including asthma, cancer, diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure, musculoskeletal conditions, pregnancy and more. Dedicated mental health clinicians are available for concerns including substance use issues, anger management, anxiety, depression, domestic violence, grief, post-traumatic stress disorder and stress.

Clinicians can support you and your family and talk with you in confidence about:

  • learning about a new diagnosis,

  • managing a health condition,

  • understanding a procedure or hospital stay,

  • considering residential treatment,

  • following your therapist’s or physician’s treatment plan and

  • health and wellness resources available to you.

Care management clinicians are Texas-based and are available to you at no cost as part of your health plan benefits.
